North Western Machinery is located in the north western corner of Limestone county in the state of Alabama. We are in the business of crane/heavy equipment inspections meeting OSHA requirements and guidelines, crane operating training and certification, written/computer based NCCER certification and practical exam testing, crane repair, etc.
By 1998 the demand for our service of inspecting equipment outgrew paper and pencil. Using the computer, we tried different ways to give our inspectors a form to fill out that would produce a professional looking inspection. By 2001 we had developed a product, using Microsoft Access, that worked to our satisfaction.
Over the next few years we added features and worked out the kinks. By 2007 we had a feature rich program that, when loaded on a laptop computer, could go into the field with the inspector. Our inspectors could incorporate pictures, get customer electronic signatures, email or print inspections, and much more. They could do all of this before leaving the site.
